Unusual Option Activity for June 24th - FISV, CNX, FSLY, AMD

Welcome to another daily Unusual Options Activity post. Why do DD when you can see what stocks people are heavily investing in?
Context – The S&P 500 declined 2.4% today on fears of a CoVID-19 resurgence. Texas, California, and Arizona are the most notable hotspots. Cuomo also announced that the Tri-state area will now impose a 14-day quarantine on travelers coming from new hotspots.
Recap – Yesterday's picks were ORCL, HOG, WW, EQH. ORCL fared the best, declining to 54.44 -0.75, (-1.36%). WW ended at 25.38 -1.22, (-4.59%), EQH 18.80 -.90, (-4.57%), HOG 23.39 -1.33, (-5.38%). I did not take any of these trades from yesterday.

Notable Strikes :
Sep 18 ’20 105C with 23.6k VLM and 25.5k OI
DEC 18 ’20 100C with 36.8k VLM and 27 OI
News : Chief Administrative Officer Guy Chiarello sold 10K common shares on June 18 at $103.72 for $1.04M
My Impression : A good portion of the calls today were from one transaction. At 12:22 32,015 18 DEC 20 100C were bought for $11. It’s odd to see the stock decline despite being 13x it’s ADV and have such a high C/P ratio for the day. Most of the calls were bought at the ask. The one major transaction is skewing this percentage a bit – I’d imagine retail traders followed this and mostly traded at the mid. I will likely invest in this stock tomorrow.
  1. Ticker: CNX – Short Play

Special Considerations : None
Next Earnings Date: 07/28/2020
Option Information :
Today's Option Volume: 18692.0 ADV: 4026.0 Multiple of ADV: 5.0
Total Calls: 317.0 Total Puts: 18375.0 P/C Ratio: 57.9%
Calls at Ask: 17.0% Calls at Bid: 63.0%
Puts at Ask: 32% Puts at Bid: 32%
Notable Strikes : JUL 17 ’20 10P, 9P, 8P all had significant volume ranging from 5.6-6.2k Two of these strikes are now in the money. There was very little OI on 9P and 8P.
News : JUN 17 - CNX Resources (CNX) initiated with an Outperform at BMO Capital Markets; tgt $13
My Impression : Shorting Oil and Gas in a depressed economy seems like a good bet. The potential upside in following this play is certainly dampened by two of the highest volume strikes being already in the money.
Upcoming Events for tomorrow – Durable Good Orders, GDP, International Trade in Goods, Jobless Claims, Corporate Profits, Retail Inventories, Wholesale Inventories. These are all released at 8:30AM. I’d expect tomorrow morning to be volatile.
IPOS for Tomorrow - DDI
*Notes –
I realize this is the second time FSLY has shown up on the Unusual Option Activity section this week. There weren’t as many to choose from today but regardless, FSLY still fit all the criteria for the inclusion and I believe it was the best pick.
Thanks for reading.
DISCLAIMER – These are my observations that I have made at the end of each day and trades that I am considering placing or watching. I am not responsible for your financial losses if you follow any of these trades. As always, do your due diligence.
